RIP RGT, check out MyWhoosh

If you’re one of RGT’s 47 paying customers, first off let me offer my condolences. Loss is hard. Take your time, don’t rush the stages. When you’re ready, a friend who, for reasons that completely baffle me, but I don’t care to explore in depth, doesn’t like Zwift. He filled me in on a new platform called MyWhoosh, or maybe not new, but I’ve never heard of because… I get my virtual world needs met in Zwift, why would I be checking out other platforms?

Aside from the name, MyWhoosh seems like a very well rounded app, with solid training options, and a UI/UX that actually seems better thought out than Zwift. Although it’s odd that they don’t recognize Gravel as a racing discipline. Oh, and the avatars aren’t as cartoony, if that’s why you don’t like Zwift. Check it out, let me know what you think. Who knows, maybe I’ll see you there some day.

Your friend is obviously very wise. It seems you buried the lede here. MyWhoosh is FREE.

Q: “I get my virtual world needs met in Zwift, why would I be checking out other platforms?”

A: See above. In particular, $16.34 reasons a month. But I guess some people like virtual Thumbs Ups or what have you. 🙂

On a more serious note, for those with huge pain cave build-outs, I don’t think MyWhoosh works with Apple TV (yet). Large iPad seems the way to go from what I can tell.

Paid RGT was included with Wahoo SYSTM (former Sufferfest) which was significantly cheaper than Zwift at annual price when I got it – difference covered GCN subscription, that when used with VPN gives access to practically every road, cross and MTB race out there plus tons of documentaries – much better entertainment on the trainer for me than watching avatars in fake worlds, which is why I barely ever used RGT either. Wahoo made peace and a deal with Zwift recently which resulted in RGT shutdown and they are compensating current subscribers with a free year of Zwift. So I… Read more »

Too funny! I literally used the same mental accounting to sign up for GCN+ yesterday (mostly to watch UCI Gravel Worlds). Step 1) cancel Zwift at $16.34/mo and use MyWhoosh for my admittedly basic needs for free. Step 2) Sign up for GCN+ to watch while on MyWhoosh. I was also a happy SYSTM user that rarely used the RGT side before giving Zwift a short try. Much of my indoor training is zone 2 with a video going to keep me occupied. FWIW, I used this URL and was able to get GCN+ for 50% off. I swear I’m… Read more »

Makes sense, I will probably try MyWhoosh after my current year of SYSTM and free year of Zwift expire if it’s still free with workouts at that time.

Graphics look great and I’m a sucker for graphics. I did read that it doesn’t work with Apple TV but I have plenty of other options. Question is… will it work with my Zwift hub!?
