I think it’s Great that Garmin decided to make a saddle clamp mount for the Varia radar/tail light. That’s awesome. But, you can buy a third-party version of one of these thing for $12. They want $50!
I totally get that the OEM version is always going to cost more. That’s fine, but when I saw the email for the Garmin Seat Rail Mount Kit I thought it was going to be $20, maybe $25. Not $50. Esh…
Heh, thanks for raising awareness. I had no idea this thing existed. There’s a perfect clone for $20 on Amazon. I’d get one but it interferes with my saddlebag.
I have one of the $12 versions on my TT bike with a GoPro extender so it drops under the saddle bag. It’s not the lightest thing, but it works very well.
